I know many people who cringe at the word ‘Kale’. I used to be one of them. I’d see my friend make her green kale smoothies every morning and think “god that must taste like medicine!”
Boy was I wrong. I remember the day I discovered greens (particularly Kale and Spinach) are some of nature’s best fat burners because they lower the acidity in your body. Nothing motivated me more than to give it a try.
My first one wasn’t the best. But with a few minor adjustments to the recipe, it was verily pleasantly surprised that I could grow to enjoy a Yucky-Looking Green Kale drink!

Serves: Serves 1
Each Servings 100 Calories
1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/3 cup of water
1 ½ cups (packed) chopped kale leaves
1 stalk celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
½ Gala apple, cut into chunks
¾ cup ice
1 tbspn NuStevia
Place the almond milk, water kale, celery, apple and ice into a blender.
Blend until smooth. Taste and add NuStevia if you would like a sweeter smoothie. Serve and enjoy cold.
